In 2005, Continuing Education Association cooperated with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to participate in the implementation of the knowledge updating project for professional and technical personnel (referred to as "Project 653"), which was mainly responsible for researching and publishing the discipline guide of public demand, formulating the training outline of public demand discipline, and organizing the compilation and production of training materials and courseware; Communication with relevant industry associations and teaching institutions; To undertake the daily work of the expert steering committee; Registration and statistics of professional and technical personnel participating in "653 Project" continuing education. 20 1 1 launched a new knowledge updating project, and defined the task and status of the association in the project implementation plan.

The Continuing Education Association has successively undertaken the research work of the major consulting projects of China Academy of Engineering, namely, "Research on Continuing Education of Engineering Science and Technology Talents" (201-2012) and "Research on Cooperation Mode of Continuing Engineering Education in Industry-University-Research" (20 13-20 14).

In recent years, the Continuing Education Association has vigorously organized and implemented continuing education and training, focusing on petrochemical industry, intellectual property rights, finance, equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, information technology, energy-saving and emission-reduction technology, deep integration of informationization and industrialization, modern logistics, financial actuarial and other areas urgently needed by the country and continuing education management backbone training, with a total training of nearly 2,000 people.

China Association for Continuing Engineering Education has established extensive contacts with relevant international organizations and peers, and participated in previous world conferences on continuing engineering education. China Association for Continuing Engineering Education is one of the top ten sponsors of International Association for Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE). Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of the first Council of the Association, served as vice chairman of the first executive committee of the International Association; Zhang Shourong, vice chairman of the second Council, served as vice chairman of the second and third executive committees of the International Association; Feng Changgen, vice-chairman of the third and fourth Council, served as vice-chairman of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh executive committees of the International Association. Vice President Hu Dongcheng, Vice President of the Fourth Council of Tsinghua University, served as the first vice president of the Eighth Executive Committee of the International Association; At present, Zhang Guoqing, former deputy director of the Beijing Bureau of the International Labour Organization, is the vice-chairman of the 9th, 10th and 11th Executive Committee of the International Association.

China Association for Continuing Engineering Education is a voting executive member of the Association for Engineering Education in Southeast Asia and the Pacific (AEESEAP), and has friendly contacts and exchanges with UNESCO, SEFI, FEANI, continuing education organizations and peers in the United States, Japan, Finland and other countries.

On June 5438+ 10, 2005, the fourth Council and the standing Council of China Association for Continuing Engineering Education were elected at the fourth member congress, and 13 consultant was specially invited. The term of office of the fourth Council of the Association is from 2005 to 2009.
