Nanchang Institute of Technology is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province. Located in Honggutan New District, it is adjacent to high-speed railway station of Nanchang West Railway Station and Nanchang Subway Station 1 line in the north, Ganjiang River in the east and National Highway 320 in the west, with superior geographical position.

The school covers an area of 1 168 mu, with a school building area of more than 600,000 square meters. According to the construction plan of ecological park, the school integrates landscape and humanities, and has built complete teaching and living facilities.

The campus is surrounded by mountains and waters with beautiful scenery, complete facilities and complete functions. In 2020, it was approved as a national 3A-level tourist attraction.

The school has eight secondary colleges, including School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, school of economics and management, School of Information and Artificial Intelligence, School of Architecture and Environmental Engineering, School of Art and Media Design, School of Marxism, School of Physical Education and Health, and School of Education. There are 58 undergraduate majors and 26 specialist majors, covering 8 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, art and education.
