A Case Study of Personalized Career Planning Guidance in Career Planning Book 1000
In view of some junior students' doubts about professional cognition, career orientation and graduation destination (going abroad or direct employment), personalized career planning guidance is given. First of all, through the combination of informal evaluation and formal evaluation, help visitors explore their own personality, values, skills and other career tendencies, and help clarify "what career do I want to engage in and what career suits me?" Secondly, the comprehensive application of cost-benefit analysis and balance sheet analysis helps visitors to explore "Is going abroad for further study or direct employment more suitable for my career orientation?" Furthermore, the SWOT analysis method is used to formulate corresponding action plans for specific problems. This case is representative in core issues and guiding ideology.

The employment guidance for college students is gradually expanding from the employment management and service mainly limited to senior students to the whole process, full staff and personalized career planning guidance, which requires college employment instructors to have more professional counseling skills. The following is a career counseling case I recently made, which is a representative core issue and guiding ideology.

I. Admission interview

(1) Basic information

Name: xx

Gender: male

Native place: Jiangsu

Age: 2 1 year

School: Huaiyin Teachers College

Major: physics (normal class)

Education: Bachelor degree, junior.

(2) The current situation

Xx University pays attention to the cultivation and improvement of comprehensive quality. Excellent professional performance, with a weighted average score of 84 points in the first five semesters and a second-class scholarship; Outstanding social activity ability, freshman and sophomore as monitor, junior as president of the college student union, and won the honorary title of outstanding student cadres. The student is from Jiangsu province, an only child; Father is a civil servant; The family's economic situation is medium, and the relationship between families is harmonious. After entering the third stage of professional study, with the graduation time approaching, students' doubts about the future road are increasingly apparent. From a professional point of view, I feel that my physics major (normal school) is a very basic major, and it is difficult to have any professional advantages. From the perspective of employment, on the one hand, as a boy in the province, he has outstanding comprehensive quality and is confident that he can get an ideal job than most students, such as entering the civil service system or key middle schools; On the other hand, they have doubts about their interest in these jobs and their future development space, so they tend to graduate for further study. From the perspective of graduation, the student does not intend to study for a postgraduate in China, but has a strong desire to study for a master's degree abroad. However, the student also has doubts about going abroad to study for a master's degree: on the one hand, the student has a poor English foundation and needs to overcome huge language barriers when studying abroad; On the other hand, considering that "returnees" have become the overall situation of "waiting for the sea", the student is worried that the employment space has not improved significantly after returning from studying abroad.

Second, the demand analysis of tourists

As the monitor and president of the college student union, visitors have established a relatively full relationship of mutual trust in the past. So after listening to xx's introduction, I explained to him frankly that the problems he faced mainly belonged to the category of career planning. In view of such problems, I can and am willing to discuss and communicate with him to help him explore himself, but the final decision and decision should still be made by him. He understands and agrees with this.

In addition, the needs of tourists are discussed and summarized:

1. Self-clarification, clear career direction.

2. Weigh the study abroad and direct employment, and determine the graduation destination.

3. Make an action plan to enhance self-confidence and execution.

Third, the guiding ideology

Although the visitors expressed many questions in the background description, they all focused on the main line of career planning. By summing up the questions, we can find that the visitors' needs have their own internal logic, so we should consult around the internal logic of their needs. Therefore, I have determined the following guiding ideology.

The first step: through the combination of informal evaluation and formal evaluation, help visitors explore their own personality, values, skills and other career tendencies, and help them clarify "what career do I want to engage in and what career suits me?" .

Step 2: Comprehensive use of cost-benefit analysis and balance sheet analysis to help visitors compare overseas study and direct employment, and discuss "which is more suitable for my career orientation?" .

Step 3: Then make a corresponding action plan for specific problems-if it is direct employment, how to determine and highlight your professional advantages in view of the current situation that you have studied a very basic major; If you want to study abroad, what kind of major do you choose? How to make up for your English shortcomings in a short time? In this process, SWOT analysis is mainly used.

Fourth, guide the process.

Corresponding to the guiding ideology, the specific process is also divided into three times.

(1) Initial guidance

The first guidance will be given immediately after the visitors visit for the first time and reach an agreement on the consultation objectives.

Self-exploration 1, carried out in an exploratory way: you have shown great enthusiasm for student work, such as running for election, and successfully served as monitor and president of the student union. So: Why can you keep this enthusiasm? In other words, what is the most valuable and meaningful aspect of student work for you? Please list the three items that you think are the most important.

The visitor expressed the following thoughts after thinking. First of all, I always seem to like communicating with people. In interpersonal communication, I always seem to be the leader consciously or unconsciously. Secondly, through the work of these students, I can do something for my classmates, classes and departments. On the one hand, it is beneficial to classes and departments. On the other hand, in this process, I feel the recognition and trust of teachers and classmates around me, from which I can feel a sense of satisfaction. Third, student work is also an effective way to improve their abilities in many aspects. Although it is hard, the improvement of their ability is also real.

Self-exploration 2 is still carried out in the way of inquiry: just now we were reviewing and summarizing the past, so let's imagine and look forward to the future-what are the three careers you want to pursue most in the future? Why do you want to engage in these three occupations most?

The visitor expressed the following thoughts after thinking. At present, I don't have a clear idea about what career I must do, but I have a clear feeling: First, although some students will choose to apply for institutions or civil servants, the society generally thinks that institutions or civil servants are iron rice bowls and golden rice bowls, but I am not interested, and I feel hierarchical, inefficient and the working atmosphere is not active enough; Second, a considerable number of people will choose to teach in middle schools, and the society generally thinks that this is a good choice, but I am not keen on it, and there is not much room for future development because of duplication of work. Third, I prefer to enter the financial industry, especially investment companies.

Self-exploration 3. Make a formal evaluation with Holland Scale: Just now, we mainly clarified ourselves from very specific practical problems. Now we will make a judgment on ourselves from a general level based on Holland occupational character Theory, which has been widely verified.
