For teenagers, as long as the body develops normally, they will have sexual desire at a certain age. Sexual desire is a normal physiological and psychological need of people. But sexual impulses must be restrained and cannot be indulged. Because although people have animal-like instinctive reactions, people are conscious higher animals after all, and their sexual behavior is bound by social moral norms, and their love and sex must be controlled and dominated by reason.

In China, it takes about 10 years from sexual maturity to legal marriage age, which is a long time. For teenagers, there is an unavoidable fact that they are sometimes troubled by sexual impulses. So how can we effectively restrain sexual impulses?

1, we should establish a correct outlook on life, study hard at school, actively participate in various cultural and sports activities and scientific and technological activities, and enrich our spiritual life. In practice, we find that those teenagers who commit sexual crimes often have some similar characteristics, that is, they are inattentive in study, lazy in life, indulgent in behavior, and their spiritual world often appears empty and decadent. On the contrary, those teenagers who work hard or are keen to participate in various scientific and cultural activities or are good at a certain subject are less likely to stumble or get into trouble.

2. Accept correct sexual knowledge and cultivate healthy sexual awareness. Sex is human instinct. For a long time, people have always taken an evasive attitude towards sexual knowledge, always thinking that with the development of the body, sexual knowledge will be self-taught. Actually, it's not like this. Because teenagers are not guided and can't tell right from wrong, plus the influence of some pornographic books and movies, they often do deviant things. Therefore, correct sexual knowledge should be taken as necessary knowledge learning to cultivate teenagers' adaptability to various forms of sexual information. Young friends should also strengthen their study, cultivate their self-control ability, cultivate healthy sexual awareness, overcome their feelings with reason, and don't let them lead them by the nose.

3. Establish correct moral and legal concepts and strengthen sexual moral cultivation. Human sexual behavior is different from that of ordinary animals. It doesn't mean that once you are sexually mature, you should immediately combine with the opposite sex. Human sexual behavior has its sociality and is restricted by social ethics, morality and law. Therefore, human beings should strive to put the randomness of sexual impulses on the right track, that is to say, they should use their unique rationality, will and perseverance to change blind and strong natural impulses, establish correct concepts of morality, legality, friendship, love and chastity, unify the sociality and naturalness of sex, and consciously resist obscene, low-level and obscene stimuli. Don't read obscene books and periodicals at ordinary times, and don't curiously imitate the interaction between men and women in some films. The relevant departments have analyzed the causes of juvenile sexual crimes and found that most of them are situational and few are premeditated. This reflects that teenagers must consciously strengthen their own sexual morality education, and must take the cultivation of sexual morality as an important content of personality cultivation, and strive to make sexual maturity and personality maturity grow simultaneously, thus effectively enhancing their ability to resist and suppress sexual stimulation. Adolescence is a period of long body and long knowledge.
