Introduction to the University of Utah
The University of Utah is the flagship school of higher education in Utah, USA, and also a world-renowned public research university. The school was founded in 1850, located at the foot of Wasatch Mountain in Salt Lake City. As one of the most famous and oldest public universities in the western United States, the University of Utah is listed as an ultra-high research university by Carnegie Education Foundation. Of all the approximately 3,632 universities in the United States that have been certified by the United States Department of Education, only 107 university has won this honor.
