Ullens Center for Contemporary Art is the first large-scale public welfare contemporary art institution funded by foreign private funds in Beijing. It was funded by the Ullens Foundation founded by the Belgian Ullens couple and established with the support of the China Municipal Government. The project was completed and opened in autumn 2007. As one of the important cultural facilities in Beijing, it faces the public, fully supports the creation and dialogue of Chinese and foreign contemporary art, supports relevant academic research, and devotes itself to the popularization and promotion of contemporary art in China.
