Distance education in Zhengzhou University requires writing a thesis, but it is not necessary to take part in the defense. Students have completed all the courses within the specified study period, obtained corresponding credits, and passed the graduation thesis. College graduates must pass the "Unified Examination for Public Basic Courses" of the Ministry of Education and pass the graduation qualification examination before they can apply for a diploma. If you want to get a degree certificate, you must take part in the graduation thesis defense.

Generally, graduation thesis defense is twice a year, which is divided into the first half and the second half. First half of the year: starting in late September and replying in mid-May of the following year; Second half of the year: starting in mid-March,1reply in mid-October 165438.

In addition, to apply for a degree, you need to meet the following conditions:

(1) support the party's line, principles and policies, adhere to the four cardinal principles, abide by the law, have good conduct, and meet the requirements in ideological and moral assessment.

(2) master the professional knowledge and basic skills of this discipline, and have the initial ability to engage in scientific research or undertake specialized technical work.

(3) Complete the courses specified in the teaching plan within the study period, with an average score of over 70 points; Participate in the graduation thesis defense and pass the graduation thesis score above; During the study period, the cumulative credits for retaking the exam cannot exceed 12 credits (including 12 credits).

(4) Adult foreign language proficiency unified examination, with qualified results. Students registered in Henan Learning Center must take the exam in the south campus of Zhengzhou University, and those who take the exam in other places are not allowed to apply for a degree.

(5) Those who are punished for cheating in exams will not be awarded degrees.

(6) apply for a degree within the length of study.

Students who meet the above conditions can apply during the study period, but only once. Those who fail will not be admitted to the college. The application procedures are generally handled in April each year, subject to the notice of the college. Students can apply to the local learning center first, and fill in the application form for bachelor's degree if they meet the application conditions after preliminary examination. The college examines the applicant and reports it to the Academic Degrees Committee for approval. After approval, it issues a degree certificate and reports it to the Provincial Department of Education for the record.
