Chongqing Jiaotong University, the registered address of the school is No.66 Xuefu Avenue, Nan 'an District, Chongqing. Since 2000, the school has been placed under the management of Chongqing by the Ministry of Communications and is a joint university in the province.

It was selected into the first batch of "National Universities with Typical Experience in Graduate Employment" (2009) and the first batch of "National Universities with Typical Experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship" (20 16), and was selected into the "Three-round Education" comprehensive reform pilot university in Chongqing, and the first university party style and clean government education and training center in Chongqing was built.
