What is the meaning of reading?
In China, since ancient times, the purpose of studying is to be an official, so-called homesickness. This is also one of the most important ways for the ruling group to stabilize society and select materials. Occasionally, some so-called pure scholars will appear. Naturally, more so-called scholars quit writing because they could not be appreciated by the government. In modern times, at the beginning of the 20th century, complicated political and economic changes and ebb and flow social changes, accompanied by the invasion of foreign powers, made the political situation even more precarious. A few intellectuals in China gradually woke up in obscurity, and their enthusiasm for participating in politics became more and more obvious. Their purpose, regardless of their hometown wishes, is mainly for the overall prosperity of the country. The Reform Movement of 1898, with Kang, Liang and Tan as the main body, can be said to be the first time that China intellectuals showed the effectiveness of collective labor. Although it failed in the end, it set a historical precedent that "if intellectuals can unite, they can also exert influence on the political situation", regardless of the actual effect. Later, Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, Hu Shi, Fu Sinian, Luo Jialun, Qu Qiubai, Lu Xun and other cultural figures were closely integrated with politics. It can be said that the combination of warlord rule in politics and such an advanced intellectual group in culture was a wonderful combination. Later, Lu Xun pointed out that "some were promoted, some retired and some advanced." It is also the fermentation product of this combination. Today's China has reached an unprecedented height in politics. Generally speaking, China's politics can be called Qingming. China's state power, too, seems to be gradually hidden out of people's sight, and its function is almost "black-box operation". In terms of rule, it is still a combination of Confucianism and Taoism, Taoism in form and Confucianism in essence, supplemented by the continuous improvement of laws to ensure the stability of state power and society. We were born in such an era, and compared with the past, we should really be grateful for it. It is universally acknowledged that China's economy has developed rapidly in the past 20 years after the Cultural Revolution. This, of course, is inseparable from the wise decision of China's leadership to focus on economic construction. However, it took nearly 10 years to explore and implement such a direction, and its cost was not small. The Cultural Revolution, in the eyes of post-80s people, seems completely strange. However, from time to time, we always listen to our parents talking about that era! An event like that! People like that! Ignorance is not enough to describe, pain is not enough to describe, and soul distortion is not enough to assert. It's really unimaginable. How can there be such boundless darkness? ! Killing people without guns and knives is worse than killing people with guns and knives. This kind of "life is worse than death" may be the deepest cry of the persecuted in such an era. The development of China's economy is inseparable from the decision-making of the leadership and the cultivation of thousands of educated talents from all walks of life in Qian Qian. China's education has gradually changed from exam-oriented education to quality education, which is undoubtedly the inherent requirement of economic development and a great progress in history. However, in terms of quality education, China still has a long way to go. "If you are not in your position, you won't want to go into politics." I'll just talk about what I want to say-the meaning of reading. Reading originally originated from literacy. With the increase of the number of words and the deepening of the understanding of the connotation of the text, we can also understand the article roughly. It turns out that the article is not just a bunch of words, but also a simple or systematic expression of people's thoughts, including impassioned, sentimental, scattered symbols, logical and so on. At the beginning of reading, we first try to understand the meaning expressed in its words, and then deeply understand its internal meaning. This can only be understood by knowing the author's writing age and environment, as well as his writing intention. Many times, reading is just a personal interest. Driven by such an innate interest, I will look for all kinds of books, and those with strong interest will read them carefully; I'm not interested, so I just glanced at it. For a child, the best way is to give some guidance, try to cultivate his interest in reading, and then selectively let him choose the bibliography to read. Generally speaking, in youth, it is suitable to read some inspirational and logical books. Once such a process is completed, he will form his own choice, or call it reading taste. By observing the bibliography he read, we can get a general understanding of his realistic thoughts and sum up his character and behavior from his speech. This is the first meaning of reading. Reading can be a kind of interest or fun in life, and it can also play a guiding role. In this era, I think there are still a few people who can really take reading as an interest. Economy is the foundation, and even schools don't advocate reading extracurricular books. The function of education is naturally to move closer to the direction of future survival. Indeed, the direction of school education is implemented in accordance with the policies formulated by the State Education Commission, which is at least in line with the overall development of the country to some extent. We can't say that the cause of national education is unreasonable, but we can only say that there are still many aspects to be improved in this sense, such as the quality of teachers, the free choice of students, the improvement of teaching materials, the arrangement of courses and so on. But who wants to sit in a stable position? No, some sounds are weak, like the buzzing of mosquitoes. People rush around, don't know where to fly, or simply be fan-killed. Since the school can't be reformed, we should reform ourselves, starting with me. This is the second meaning of reading in my opinion. Reading can make people know the phenomenon and essence more clearly, so as to know themselves and shape themselves. The third meaning of reading, in my opinion, is the most important, that is, "apply what you have learned", and really "apply what you have learned", instead of being a student specializing in exams at school like a college graduate now, but in society, he will feel that what he has learned seems useless in nine cases out of ten. Society is a stage for building interests, and whoever has power and money is the protagonist, which is also in line with natural selection and understandable. However, this also has to make people doubt the overall quality of education today. Of course, we can't say that the current education is completely useless. After all, we have spent so long on the so-called compulsory courses and elective courses here and there, and it is still possible to have mud and sand. Such an education will never be useless. Since the ultimate goal of learning is to "apply what you have learned", how can we really "apply what you have learned"? Every era has its own different circumstances. At the beginning of the 20th century, in the era of political turmoil and the alternation of the old and the new, cultural enlightenment and guidance will inevitably become the mainstream. Therefore, if we study history, we can clearly understand the similarities and differences between the old world and the new world in China, and at least grasp the spiritual context of the times. In today's era, what I think of as "applying what I have learned" means that as long as everyone can show what they have learned, they should try their best to do it according to their own characteristics. However, this premise is to have your own ideals and the determination to study hard for such ideals. The enthusiasm of people in the future society cannot be promoted by money. Once the society develops to a relatively developed stage, unemployment will inevitably increase, and a large number of such people may take the initiative to lose their jobs, which is tantamount to a waste of resources for a country and does not bode well for the country's industrial structure and development. Of course, if it's just a few people, just like we wasted a few kwh of electricity, we won't care too much. However, once such groups form a certain scale, the consequences can be imagined. This also illustrates the unreasonable factors in society from the opposite side. However, it is true that it will always be those explorers and discoverers who have dreams and are determined to promote social development for a long time, whether it is natural science or social humanities, which will become an inevitable trend. Sometimes, I feel that our generation is still continuing the tragedy of the previous generation. After all, a few people in our previous generation were able to receive higher education, which naturally made our generation lose this aspect of family of origin when they were educated. This is a pity. Many times, I still have to rely on myself to constantly explore and summarize in the search for direction. But in any case, we are always much luckier and happier than the previous generation. I believe our next generation will be better. Generally speaking, the meaning of reading is to absorb and complete one's own learning in constant accumulation, and then it is possible to create something. In a certain field, such active creation shows an extremely beneficial side. For example, literature and art should dare to expose what is unreasonable now. As Mr. Lu Xun said, literature and art are just to change the weak and numb national character, to attract the attention of healing, and to comfort the lonely warriors who are not afraid to move forward. Although literary and artistic things will inevitably become empty, what will never go out is the continuous burning of the spiritual torch. Besides, burning is for greater light, not destruction. For the beauty of tomorrow, we will have a permanent expectation-this is the ultimate direction of mankind.
