In 2007, the Sino-German Psychotherapy Conference published a set of statistical data from the Ministry of Health of China: the total population suffering from various mental diseases in China has exceeded 1 60,000, and the number of people suffering from different degrees of mental or psychological disorders who need professional intervention is more, estimated to reach1900 million, that is, at least1person per1person. There are 340 million children and adolescents under the age of 0/7 in China, and about 30 million people are deeply troubled by psychological barriers. White-collar workers under high pressure have a growing demand for psychological counseling. However, there is a shortage of professionally trained psychological counseling professionals in China, with only 2.4 psychological counseling workers per million people, compared with 550 in the United States. According to the standard issued by the United Nations: every 65,438+10,000 people have 1 psychological counseling professionals. Based on the urban population of 500 million, there is still a gap of 476,000 psychological counselors in China. All kinds of universities in China recruit graduate students in the field of psychometrics and counseling. In 2007, among the top 15 universities in applied psychology in the national graduate education rankings, 8 universities enrolled students of this major.
Training objectives:
