Teachers are entitled to maternity allowance. The maternity allowance for teachers is paid by the maternity insurance fund according to the average monthly salary of employees in the previous year. The people's governments at or above the county level will incorporate social insurance into the national economic and social development plan.
The state raises social insurance funds through multiple channels. People's governments at or above the county level shall give necessary financial support to social insurance.
The state supports social insurance through preferential tax policies.
Article 6
The state exercises strict supervision over social insurance funds.
The State Council and the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall establish and improve the supervision and management system of social insurance funds to ensure the safe and effective operation of social insurance funds.
People's governments at or above the county level shall take measures to encourage and support all sectors of society to participate in the supervision of social insurance funds.
Second, how to receive the teacher's maternity allowance
1. After the teacher is pregnant, she needs to bring her household registration book, ID card, marriage certificate and other materials, and go to the unit to register for maternity insurance first, and determine the maternity check-up and maternity hospital;
2. Teachers should apply for a birth permit at the unit or the street family planning office with the materials such as the husband and wife's household registration book within three months of pregnancy;
3. After giving birth, the husband and wife will hand over the medical registration form, discharge certificate with official seal, marriage certificate, ID card and household registration book. Give it to the unit, let the staff of the unit go to social security and apply for maternity allowance.
