Makarenko (1888- 1939) was an educator and writer in the former Soviet Union. He was a famous Soviet educator in the Eastern European Group in 1950s and 1960s. Since 1920, we have been fully engaged in the education and reform of street children and juvenile offenders. He led the establishment of Gorky Engineering Group and dzerzhinsky Commune successively, advocated that schools should cultivate social members with a sense of responsibility and honor and abide by discipline, advocated collectivization and even militarization of education and lifestyle, and emphasized commonness far more than cultivating individuality. His main works are educational poems.

However, during Stalin's reign, makarenko did something that shocked people all over the world.

At that time, makarenko was the principal of a primary school. There is a chaotic class in their school. Fighting and extortion are common in this class. Fighting and trouble can happen at both ends in three days. Students don't obey discipline at all, and they don't pay attention to the law. There is a naughty child in the class, a king of the children, who often bullies girls. Moreover, in class, he is against the teacher. Many teachers come to educate their children's classes, but in the end they are helpless, and even some female teachers think they are crying. Things naturally reflected to the principal Makarenko. Makarenko decided to educate the whole class himself. The result is the same. No matter what the headmaster says, the students are so presumptuous and barbaric. Makarenko found that as the head teacher of this class, patient education and caring for human nature didn't play any role at all. They don't pay attention to this teacher at all, and even insult their own teacher. What shall we do? In the course of a class, makarenko, who was once again despised by the students, became furious and completely lost his mind. At that time, he waved his fist and severely beat the "leader" in front of the whole class. At this moment, the students suddenly became quiet. They didn't see how angry the teacher was today, just like a roaring bull. Miracle appeared: the students seem to realize that there is still a good side of human nature in the world, and the students in this class have "tamed" a lot since then, and many reasons seem to be passable. These students with wild hearts can finally tell people about civilization.

Things immediately caused an uproar in the former Soviet Union. The teacher actually hit the students! Accusations from all over the world kept coming out and finally turned into reprimands and criticisms. After learning the situation, Stalin spoke highly of it, which made the incident calm down a little. However, there are still many people who disagree.

A few days passed. Stalin allocated a sum of money to schools in makarenko. However, people at school need to get it. There are also some "white bandits" between the school and Moscow, so no teacher in the school is willing to take such a big risk. And makarenko himself has a lot of things to deal with. At this time, makarenko decided to call the "leader" he had beaten to collect it. When the news came out, the whole school was in an uproar. Both the teacher and the students are talking about it. Many people told makarenko directly that the student would definitely fly away with a large sum of money. Some people say that they will lose their lives and money in areas where white bandits haunt. Makarenko still let the students go. Later, the student brought the money back to school safely, and the incident of makarenko beating students gradually subsided in the former Soviet Union.
