Middle School Affiliated to Central Academy of Fine Arts: The Middle School Affiliated to Central Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1953. During the period of 1954, Ding, the first principal, visited the former Soviet Union with the delegation of China's fine arts education, learned the educational experience of the secondary art schools affiliated to Moscow Art School (now Academy of Fine Arts) and Leningrad Art School (now Repin Academy of Fine Arts), and brought back their student works and syllabus, which had a far-reaching impact on the running of the secondary schools affiliated to Academy of Fine Arts and laid a solid foundation.
