The Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) is the the State Council department in charge of education and language work in the State Council, People's Republic of China (PRC). As of July 20 17, the Ministry of Education has 19 internal departments, among which "Secretariat of China National Committee for UNESCO" is one of them. In addition, the Ministry of Education directly manages 15 educational social groups and organizations.
From 1985 to 1998, the Ministry of Education is called the State Education Commission of the People's Republic of China.

Eight, in charge of the work of teachers in the country, to develop all kinds of teacher qualification standards at all levels and guide the implementation; To study and put forward the standards for the establishment of schools at all levels; Coordinate the team building of school teachers and administrators.
Nine, the overall management of all kinds of higher education entrance examination; Formulate enrollment plans for colleges and universities; Responsible for the management of student status in all kinds of higher education; Manage the reform of employment system for college graduates, formulate employment policies for college graduates, and organize the implementation of employment distribution for college graduates.
Ten, planning and guiding the natural science and philosophy and social science research in colleges and universities; Macroscopically guide the research and promotion of high-tech application in colleges and universities, the transformation of scientific research achievements and the combination of "Industry-University-Research"; Coordinate and guide institutions of higher learning to undertake the implementation of major national scientific research projects and key national defense science and technology projects; To guide the development and construction of state key laboratories and engineering research centers in colleges and universities.
