The Historical Evolution of Yancheng Teachers College
The predecessor of the school is Yancheng Teachers College, which was founded in 1958.

1963, Yancheng Teachers College closed;

1976, Yancheng Branch of Jiangsu Normal University was established;

1978 Approved by the State Council, Yancheng Teachers College was rebuilt;

Yancheng Institute of Education, formerly known as Yancheng Teachers College, was founded in 1959.

1969, Yancheng Teachers College closed;

1979, Yancheng Teachers College resumed classes;

1983, Yancheng Teachers College was renamed Yancheng Education College;

1999 In March, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the former Yancheng Teachers College and the former Yancheng Education College merged to form Yancheng Teachers College;

In 2002, the former Yancheng Commercial School, a national key technical secondary school founded in 1958, was merged into Yancheng Normal University.

From June 5438 to February 7, 2007, the school passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education.
