Zhengzhou Electric Power Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1996, and has gone through the school-running process of Zhengzhou Electric Power Secondary Vocational School and Zhengzhou Electric Power College. In 2006, with the approval of the Henan Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education approved the upgrading to "Zhengzhou Electric Power Vocational and Technical College".
