Wuhan University of Technology ranks 45th in China. Wuhan University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of universities listed in the national "2 1 1 Project" and "Double First Class" construction. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Transport.

The school now has Mafangshan Campus, Yujiatou Campus and Nanhu Campus, covering an area of more than 4,000 mu, with a total construction area of 1.953 million square meters.
