Hubei Police Officer College, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is a full-time undergraduate public security political and legal college organized by Hubei Provincial People's Government. In April, 1984 was upgraded to Hubei Public Security College to carry out higher education. On June 1993, the name of the school was changed to Hubei Public Security College. In March 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Hubei Police Officer College.

The college originated from the training course for cadres of the Public Security Department of Hubei Provincial People's Government and was founded in June 1949. After that, it went through the development stages of Hubei Provincial People's Government Public Security School, Central People's Public Security College Silent Xiao Kai Wuhan Branch, Central Second Police Cadre School, Hubei Provincial Public Security School and Hubei Provincial People's Police School.

The College has two campuses, namely the South Campus of Jiefang Avenue and the Xiao Kai Campus of Nanniwan Avenue, with a campus area of 5 12 mu. The college is directly under 25 middle-level institutions, 9 teaching departments and 12 undergraduate majors. There are 430 faculty members and more than 5,400 full-time undergraduates.
