From 1999, colleges and universities began to expand their enrollment on a large scale, and the number of students enrolled increased at the rate of 600,000-700,000 per year, which brought new opportunities to the development of China's higher education, and China's higher education completed the transformation from "elite education" to "mass education". However, the expansion of enrollment is like a double-edged sword, which brings us great benefits, but also brings some disadvantages, especially the difficulty of employment. Employment is not only related to the immediate interests of college students, but also to the overall situation of national development and stability, and to the realization of the great goal of building a harmonious socialist society in China. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the reasons for the difficulty of college students' employment and find solutions to improve their employment rate.
At present, college graduates who were easy to find jobs a few years ago also encountered the problem of difficult employment, and then a large number of graduate students and school drifters appeared. So what's wrong with college students' education and employment in China? First, the difficulty of college students' employment is largely due to the high demand for income. Second, a large number of undergraduates choose to continue their postgraduate entrance examination under the condition of low employment remuneration. Third, with the continuous expansion of the postgraduate entrance examination army, there have been a large number of "school drifters", that is, those who graduated from college but still stayed on campus or around the school.
