Brief introduction of college
Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, located in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning sponsored by Shaoxing Municipal People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). August 20 13, awarded master's degree. 20 19 1 month, was identified as a pilot demonstration school for application-oriented construction in Zhejiang Province.
Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1996, which was formed by the merger of the former Shaoxing Normal College and the former Shaoxing College. Since then, Shaoxing Health School, Shangyu Normal School and Shaoxing Construction Technical Secondary School have merged. Its predecessor can be traced back to 1909 (the year of Xuantongyuan in Qing Dynasty), which was founded by Shanhui Primary Normal School. In 2006, the preparatory work for Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences started. 20 19 Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education announced that Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences had applied to be renamed Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences.
By February, 2022, Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences had four campuses, namely, the headquarters (Fengzejiang and Nanshan), Lanting and Shangyu, covering an area of 22 17.73 mu. Secondary colleges 16, independent colleges 1, 63 undergraduate majors and 5 higher vocational colleges. There are 8 master's degree authorized first-level disciplines and 8 professional master's degree programs; Faculty 1.8 million, full-time students 1.5 million.

As of June 20021year, Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences had humanities, Marxism, foreign languages, mathematics and information, life sciences, chemistry and chemical engineering, electromechanical engineering, civil engineering, textiles and clothing, business schools and medical schools.
There are Art College, Lanting Calligraphy Art College, Teacher Education College, Shangyu Campus, Continuing Education College, etc. 16 secondary colleges and 1 independent college (Yuanpei College of Shaoxing University) and affiliated hospital of Shaoxing University. There are 62 undergraduate majors and 5 higher vocational majors, covering economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, medicine and management.
