We filled in the registration form through the kindergarten. After registration, we received a short message from the organizing Committee. We found that the game will be held in a week, and the time is tight and the task is heavy. So we asked the organizing committee to change the time to Sunday in two weeks. Later, I learned that the audition can be changed, but after the audition, the next "initial evaluation" stage cannot be done.
My child has been in America for a year, and his spoken English is OK, but he is very timid, especially when playing in front of people. I'm afraid she won't let go. So there are two steps after registration, one is to discuss the manuscript with the child, and the other is to carry out psychological construction for her.
Two. preparatory work/be about to work
The requirement for the audition stage of the Star of Hope is to introduce yourself for 60 seconds. After the introduction, you can interact with the examiner. For example, if some children finish speaking in 40 seconds, then the examiner may ask him a few questions, or not at other times, depending on the examiner. At this stage, parents can go in to accompany their children. Because the children in the hope star group are younger, this can distract their anxiety.
Because I just returned to China, I missed the training on audition in kindergarten. According to the teacher, the main purpose of this stage of the competition is to highlight a theme in self-introduction and the preparation of clothes and props related to the theme.
Our family is a girl, but when I was in America, I watched many cartoons about heroes, and I liked them very much, such as PJ mask, Wang Wang Team, Superman, wonder woman and so on. So this time, when choosing the theme of self-introduction, I naturally chose the role of hero. Because there are only 60 seconds, I wrote a manuscript in a hurry, which is very simple.
When the child came back from kindergarten rehearsal, he found that the child did not follow the routine and ignored the manuscript I wrote. Most of the choices are in his own language. Of course, the idea is still carried out according to the theme of heroes. I saw that his speech went well, and the children were more uncooperative and unwilling to recite the manuscript, so they stopped rehearsing.
Later, the kindergarten also held a mock competition, calling on all the children to experience it. On the first night of the mock competition, my father and I let the children rehearse. At this time, I found out that because he always said it according to his own ideas, and the content changed slightly every time he said it, sometimes he couldn't remember what to say, and his performance was not particularly stable. I am a little anxious at this time, because it is close to ten o'clock in the evening. So I first fixed the speech content that the child is best at according to her language expression habits. After the draft was finalized, I read each sentence three times and then repeated the whole paragraph. It took half an hour, and finally I memorized it.
The next day, we came to the scene of the mock race very early. In this mock competition, parents accompany their children to participate. After entering the examination room, they found that many children may perform well at home, but they are very nervous when they arrive at the examination room, either not talking or their voices are very low. My child did well in this mock competition. The teacher gave me the opinion that there is no problem with language expression and good expression, but they lack clothes and props and their actions are not exaggerated enough.
I didn't prepare too hard after the game, so I asked her to recite it when I remembered it, adding expressions and movements. I also bought her a suit of Superman clothes from Taobao. This suit is very thick, suitable for winter wear, and it is not an exaggeration. There is a small cloak at the back, which is very cute. At the same time, I bought two dolls related to the theme, one is Captain America and the other is Macstuffin, a little doctor.
Three. Audition stage
But we were late that day. After registration, I began to wait, and the exam went faster. I really opened my eyes that day. Many children dress up as little princesses, animals, cooks, pilots and so on. Their costumes are very exquisite, with all kinds of small dinosaurs and car toys. In fact, the elimination rate of Shanghai selection is relatively low. If you don't have time and energy, just prepare a little. The parents of these children are very ceremonial and well prepared. I admire them very much.
After the teacher called the number, we went to the preparation area on the second floor, where we filled out the form and had a rest. After a teacher informed the competition, she took her children into a separate room. There is only one judge teacher in the classroom, who is a very kind female teacher. Seeing that the child is a little shy, I have been encouraging her.
The child has a good memory. We have hardly reviewed these two weeks, but she recited it fluently. After entering the venue, put the props of the performance on the ground first and then introduce yourself. It is also very comfortable to pick up plush toys from the ground in the middle and perform.
After the game, the teacher asked him two questions. What's your favorite sport? What's your favorite color? The child also answered the whole sentence instead of a word as prepared before.
The teacher gave us a form and all the blanks were ticked. It is said that this is the one with the highest score. Successfully passed the audition. Before going out, the judge said that the child was still a little shy and hoped to be brave in the future.
After going out, the kindergarten teacher rewarded a lollipop. This is achieved through our own efforts, and the children are very happy.
Then take the guided person to another room and pay more than 100 yuan, and finally wait for the notice of the next stage. We passed the audition on February 6, 20 18, 16. A few days later, we received a short message, and the initial evaluation time was 20 1910.3.
