Frequency of continuing education for first-class cost engineers
The continuing education of the first-class cost engineer is a compulsory course and an elective course, each with 60 class hours. The first-class cost engineer should have a continuing education every registration period. The first-class cost engineer registration certificate is valid for 4 years, so the first-class cost engineer needs to continue education every four years.

Relevant regulations on continuing education of first-class cost engineers:

1. Registered cost engineers will continue their education every four years and enter the website of China Construction Engineering Cost Management Association "membership management system" or "Registered Cost Engineer Network Education System".

2. Registered cost engineers should receive 60 hours of continuing education in compulsory courses and elective courses within the validity period of each registration. Provincial and departmental management institutions shall, in accordance with the requirements of completing 30 hours of compulsory courses and 30 hours of elective courses every two years, organize registered cost engineers to participate in the prescribed forms of continuing education and learning.

3. Cost engineers who have not participated in continuing education for more than one registration period or an extended registration period should participate in the continuing education remedial class organized by China Price Association when applying for initial registration or resuming their practice. Those who pass the examination will be awarded relevant continuing education qualification certificates by China Price Association.
