1, geographical distribution

Heluo culture is centered on Luoyang, reaching Tongguan and Huayin in the west, Xingyang and Zhengzhou in the east, Ruying in the south, and crossing the Yellow River to Jinnan and Jiyuan in the north.

Heluo region, located in the hinterland of Central Plains, is the center of China's economy, politics and culture in history, so it has been called "the best in the world" since ancient times. The ancient culture in Heluo area is extensive and profound. It is said that the dragon horse was drawn from the river and the tortoise was endorsed from Luo. "River" refers to the Yellow River and "Luo" refers to the Luohe River. In Luoyang, where the Yellow River meets the Luohe River, the ancient people created splendid material civilization and spiritual civilization.

Cultural introduction

Heluo Cultural Circle covers today's Central Plains, and its surrounding areas are connected with Qilu Cultural Circle, Chu Cultural Circle, Qin Jin Cultural Circle and Zhao Yan Cultural Circle. The content of Heluo culture includes primitive painted pottery culture (Yangshao culture) and black pottery culture (Longshan culture), the ancestor culture of Yanhuang, Hetu, Luoshu and Zhouyi, Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the feudal orthodox culture from Qin Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, and Luoxue in Song Dynasty. Education, religion, science and technology, art, nationality, folk customs, etc. Heluo culture is orthodox. As the mainstream of traditional culture in China, Confucian culture originated from the ritual and music culture of Heluo three generations (Xia, Shang and Zhou). In the process of Confucian reform, Luoxue rose and Neo-Confucianism was formed, rooted in Heluo. Heluo culture has its origins, from which River Map and Luoshu all originated. Laozi's classic Tao Te Ching was built in Heluo, and the White Horse Temple, the ancestral temple of Buddhism, was built in Heluo, which is one of the earliest origins of Chinese civilization. Heluo culture is all-inclusive, absorbing and containing the ancient surrounding regional culture and forming a unique cultural content. Heluo culture is very divergent, radiating to the surrounding areas, and deriving many cultural systems, such as Hakka culture.
