In 2022, the minimum admission scores of Taiyuan College in the second batch of A-section of Shanxi Province's undergraduate courses are: 438 points for science and 479 points for liberal arts. The minimum admission scores of the second batch of B-section for ordinary undergraduate students are: 425 points for science and 457 points for liberal arts.

Taiyuan College is located in Taiyuan City, the capital of Shanxi Province, which has a history of 2,500 years. The college has an excellent geographical location. Taiyuan College was formerly known as Taiyuan University. From June 5438 to February 2002, the former Taiyuan University, taiyuan normal School and Taiyuan Institute of Education merged into the new Taiyuan University. April 20 13, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to a full-time comprehensive undergraduate college and renamed Taiyuan University. The college implements the school-running system of joint management of provinces and cities, with the city as the main body.
