The evidence-based scientific research platform of traditional Chinese medicine was jointly developed by Founder and which unit?
With the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine as the core, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Evidence-based Medicine Center, Sichuan University China Evidence-based Medicine Center and Peking University Evidence-based Medicine Center will jointly carry out evidence-based Chinese medicine research, method consensus, standard setting, clinical evaluation, evidence sample management and evidence information service.

The establishment of the center aims to integrate the research strength of evidence-based medicine of traditional Chinese medicine at home and abroad, form synergy and resonance in the international medical community, show the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine on major diseases, chronic diseases and common diseases with high-quality evidence, enhance the core competitiveness of clinical value of traditional Chinese medicine, establish the mainstream medical status of traditional Chinese medicine, play an important role in the implementation of the "Belt and Road" and "Healthy China" strategies, and make traditional Chinese medicine more widely accepted and promoted worldwide, so as to better serve human health.

At present, the mainstream mode of medical knowledge and practice in the world is evidence-based medicine mode with scientific evidence as the core. Clinical evidence has become the main basis for evaluating the effectiveness and safety of medical measures, and it is also one of the important reference contents of national health policy. Although Chinese medicine is gradually recognized by the world, "going out" still faces obstacles such as lack of evidence of clinical effectiveness and safety. From 1999, some people in the field of traditional Chinese medicine began to introduce the concepts and methods of evidence-based medicine into the research of traditional Chinese medicine. Academician Wang Yongyan, Academician Chen Keji, Academician Zhang Boli, Professor Li Youping and other experts and scholars reached a consensus to promote the application of the concepts and methods of evidence-based medicine and verify the effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medicine. Zhang Boli, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and president of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told the reporter that more than ten years' practice has proved that Chinese medicine has provided a batch of high-level evidence, which has had an important impact at home and abroad. For example, many evidence-based medical studies on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases by traditional Chinese medicine have been published in the Journal of American Heart Association.
