Shantou University School of Medicine is a public university jointly founded by the Ministry of Education, Guangdong Province and Li Ka-shing Foundation. After continuous reform and development, as the first batch of pilot universities in China's excellent physician education and training program, it is the first batch of medical colleges certified by the Ministry of Education for undergraduate medical education standards, the first medical college with "5+3" integrated training of clinical medicine in Guangdong Province, a high-level key discipline construction project university in Guangdong Province, and a medical humanistic quality education base in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education.
