Li Dongsheng was born in Hequ, Shanxi. Special-grade teacher of Taiyuan Foreign Language School, member of the Examination and Approval Committee of Middle School Textbooks of the Ministry of Education, member of chinese mathematical society, and head of the preparatory group of Shanxi Thinking Education Research Association. Concepts of thinking quality such as "fuzzy thinking" and "thinking education" won the Jiangsu Mathematics Education Award 1996, and received special allowance from the State Council in the same year.
