Baiyun District is high in the north and northeast, and low in the west and south. Roughly bounded by Guangcong fault zone and Shougouling fault zone, it is adjacent to Guangcong fault zone in the east and Shougouling fault zone in the north, and it is a Baiyun Mountain-Luogang hilly region, which is dotted with intermountain alluvial plains, such as Luogang Cave alluvial by Nangang River and Suifeng and Xingfeng small basins alluvial by Jinkeng River.

Alluvial materials of Baimi Cave in Liangtiankeng and Jiufo Cave in Fengweikeng, etc. Starting from the west of the fault, there are mainly Liuxihe alluvial plain and Pearl River Delta plain. The north and northeast are dominated by low mountains, with deep valleys and steep slopes. The bedrock is hard massive metamorphic rock and granite.

On the edge of low mountains, such as the east side of Xinguangcong Highway and the south side of Dayuan Highway, there are a series of hills, whose bedrock is medium-coarse grained granite with weak weathering resistance, so the top of the mountain is round and the hillside is gentle. On the southern edge of the hilly area, along the strike of Shougouling fault, there is a banded platform, starting from Wangshengtang in the west and connecting Zoumagang and Guihuagang.
