The main duties of the villagers' representatives are as follows:
1. Conscientiously implement the Party's line, principles and policies, abide by national laws, regulations and villagers' autonomy regulations, take the lead in fulfilling civic obligations and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of villagers;
2, close contact with the villagers, timely reflect the opinions and suggestions of the villagers;
3. Attend the meetings of villagers' representatives on time and correctly perform the duties of villagers' representatives;
4, take the lead in implementing the resolutions of the villagers' representative meeting, and safeguard the authority of the villagers' representative meeting;
5, actively support and cooperate with the villagers' committee to do all the work, mobilize the villagers to complete the tasks assigned by the villagers' committee;
6, supervision and inspection of the work of the villagers committee and the implementation of village affairs;
7, report to the villagers at the villagers' representative meeting;
8. Actively publicize and educate villagers and conscientiously implement the principles and policies of the party and the state.
The obligations of the villagers' representatives are as follows:
1. Keep close contact with the masses, truly represent and reflect the interests and wishes of the villagers represented;
2, actively participate in the meeting, abide by the provisions of the meeting, and constantly improve the ability to participate in the discussion of state affairs;
3. Learn to publicize and standardize compliance with national laws, regulations and policies, educate and urge villagers to abide by the law, perform their due obligations according to law, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of villagers;
4, take the lead in implementing the decisions of the villagers' representative meeting, implement the policies, laws and regulations of the party and the state, and take the lead in completing various tasks;
5. Actively assist the work of villagers' committees, mobilize and educate villagers to consciously accept the correct management of villagers' committees, actively participate in the construction of rural communities, and join the rural volunteer service team;
6, supervise the work of the villagers' committee and the behavior of village cadres, can conscientiously perform the function of democratic supervision, support and cooperate with the villagers' supervision committee to carry out the work.
Article 8 of the Law on the Autonomy of Villagers' Committees in People's Republic of China (PRC) supports and organizes villagers to develop various forms of cooperative economy and other economies according to law, undertakes the service and coordination of village production, and promotes rural production, construction and economic development.
The villagers' committee shall manage the land and other property collectively owned by the village farmers according to law, guide the villagers to make rational use of natural resources, and protect and improve the ecological environment.
Villagers' committees shall respect and support the autonomy of collective economic organizations to independently carry out economic activities according to law, maintain a two-tier management system based on household contract management and combining unification with separation, and safeguard the legitimate property rights and other legitimate rights and interests of collective economic organizations and villagers, contracted households, joint households or partnerships.
