Since 1987, the school has carried out the teaching reform experiment of "happy education", and since 1999, it has carried out the research of "developing students' multiple intelligences", striving to make the school a garden for cultivating students' intelligence, stimulating students' interest in learning and cultivating students' sentiment. Guangming Daily, Wen Wei Po and China Education News reported the results of the school's educational reform successively. Li Yi, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, a famous physicist, secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League, Li Renhe, inspector of the State Education Commission, and Bao, deputy director of the Provincial Education Department, visited the school for inspection and guidance, and the quality of education was highly praised by all sectors of society.

The educational experiment was fruitful. Teachers and students won 34 national prizes/kloc-0, and 252 provincial and Jinhua city prizes. More than 50 educational and teaching papers won the national, provincial first, second and third prizes. I have filmed TV videos such as I Walk into a Happy World and Happy Chinese Class, and edited Selected Sketches on the Blackboard for Primary Chinese, Happy Teaching Plans for Primary Chinese, and Happy Education Wave Collection. From 65438 to 0999, Zhejiang Primary School held a seminar on "Optimizing the Teaching Process and Building a New Teaching Model". The scientific research achievement of developing students' multiple intelligences won the first prize of the second basic education teaching achievement in Zhejiang Province in 2003, the first prize of the provincial basic education scientific research achievement in 2004, and the school scientific research book "Promoting the Development of Children's Multiple Intelligences" was published in 2005.

Art education is the characteristic of this school. Two feature films of the dance "Reading the Mountain Country Lang" and "Sister Plum Blossom" were broadcast on CCTV, and the program "Blowing to Heaven" and "Biography" won the first prize of the Zhejiang Primary and Secondary School Art Show. The on-the-spot meeting of Zhejiang Young Pioneers' labor practice was held in this school. The activity of "One Hundred Workers' Children in Action" was appreciated by the participants, and five contestants participated in the operation performance of "Young Talents Raise Hands" held by the provincial TV station.

The school has won many honors. 1992, Young Pioneers were awarded the National Red Flag Brigade, 1993, Zhejiang Advanced School, 1996, Jinhua Demonstration Experimental Primary School, 1997, Provincial Civilized School, 1998, Zhejiang Advanced Grassroots Party Branch. In 2002, it was named as a model primary school in Zhejiang Province. From 65438 to 0994, the school established a sister school relationship with Chizuka Primary School in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Teachers and students from both sides exchanged frequent visits and exchanged letters, paintings and calligraphy.
