Scientific research is the focus of Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences. While attaching importance to basic theoretical research, we have highlighted and strengthened the research on applied countermeasures, served the scientific decision-making of the Party committee and government, and provided consulting services to all sectors of society, and achieved fruitful scientific research results. By the end of 2006, 428 academic monographs, 5,299 academic papers, 65,438+0,372 research reports, 329 translations, 9,665,438+0 academic materials and 223 academic reference books, popular science books and reference books have been published. Since the establishment of the Institute, a total of 353 scientific research achievements have won outstanding scientific research achievement awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level, including 3 "Five One Projects" awards from the Propaganda Department of the CPC, 0/3 "Five One Projects" awards from Guangxi, 2 "Five One Projects" selection awards from the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, 3 "National Outstanding Achievements Awards for Youth Social Sciences" and 9 first prizes for outstanding achievements in social science research in Guangxi. Guangxi literature and art bronze drum awards 4, Guangxi district government first decision-making consultation achievement awards 2, second prize 5, third prize 6, other provincial and ministerial awards 29. Over the years, he has presided over the project funded by the National Social Science Fund 140, the social science planning research project of the autonomous region, and the soft science research project of Guangxi. Since the establishment of major bidding projects by the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region in 2004, the researchers of our institute have undertaken a total of major scientific research projects in the autonomous region 10. In addition, the researchers of our institute have successively undertaken the 185 research project entrusted by local party and government departments, enterprises and institutions.

Academic exchanges with foreign countries. Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences attaches great importance to establishing academic exchange relations with social science research institutions at home and abroad. Since its establishment, the Institute has successively carried out academic exchange activities with the United States, France, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Czech Republic, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Russia and other countries as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and established scientific research cooperation relations. Through mutual visits of scholars, holding bilateral academic seminars, inviting scholars to give lectures and conducting cooperative research, scientific research has been promoted and academic influence has been expanded.

Major publications. The publications sponsored by Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences include Academic Forum, Economic and Social Development, etc., and the institute in charge of the institute hosts Southeast Asia and Coastal Enterprises and Technology. China-ASEAN Yearbook and Guangxi Blue Book are published every year.
