The Historical Evolution of Taipei Jianguo Senior High School
Jianguo Middle School is the earliest public high school in Taiwan Province Province. The red building in the school was built during the Japanese occupation period (1909) and has been listed as a designated monument in Taipei. The campus is close to Nanhai Academy, Botanical Garden, Boai Special Zone, Taiwan History Museum, education broadcasting station and other cultural and educational institutions, and the traffic is quite convenient.

Jianzhong is the oldest and most famous senior middle school in Taiwan Province with the largest number of students and graduates. On average, only the junior high school graduates in Taiwan Province Province who rank in the top 1%(PR value =99) in the junior high school basic academic ability test held every summer have the opportunity to enter school. In addition, the school is famous for its free style of study, and the diversity and vigorous development of associations are also quite famous. Each grade has two gifted classes in mathematics and science, one in Qi Le, one in humanities and social sciences, one in physical education, with nearly 4,000 students and 70 or 80 clubs (the largest in Taiwan).

More than 40% (about 500 people) of its graduates have entered the departments of Taiwan Province Provincial University, the most famous university in Taiwan Province Province, and other famous universities in Taiwan Province Province, such as Tsinghua University, Hsinchu Jiaotong University, Yangming University and medical departments on the island of Taiwan Province Province, have the largest number of graduates. Generally speaking, over the years, there have been more than100000 graduates all over the world, which is the largest number of high schools in Taiwan Province province. There are also many graduates who choose to go to top universities outside the island.

The students in this school performed well in international competitions. Elected representatives from Taiwan Province Province participated in international science exhibitions, most of them were students from Jianzhong University, and won awards at American international science and technology exhibitions and other national science exhibitions. In the ability competition of mathematics, physics and information science held by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan Province Province, Jianzhong players often won the top three in all subjects, qualified for the training camp of the International Science Olympic Competition, and were finally selected as the team players of Taiwan Province Province. This school is also the school with the largest number of "single school awards" in the history of the International Science Olympic Games; By the end of 2006, school athletes had won 50 gold medals, 68 silver medals and 265,438+0 bronze medals in international Olympic competitions (including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and information).

In addition to the short-term cooperation policy to accept mainland female students from Taiwan after the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the school only recruits male students for a long time. Although it was proposed to change to co-education, it was never implemented. The school has always adopted the traditional khaki uniforms and green schoolbags of Taiwan Province Provincial Middle School, and the khaki uniforms have become one of the symbols of students' recognition.

The name of Jianguo Middle School originated from the name dispute between Taipei No.1 Middle School and No.2 Middle School at that time. 1945 65438+On February 6, 2006, after Taiwan Province students from No.1 Middle School, No.3 Middle School and No.4 Middle School jointly resumed classes, on June 14, the Provincial Education Department ordered Taiwan Province students from No.1 Middle School to be merged into Taibei No.1 Middle School and temporarily attend classes in the teaching building of No.4 Middle School. 15 Friday, No.4 Middle School officially started classes, and the headmaster of No.4 Middle School temporarily acted as the principal.

However, the students in No.2 Middle School think that No.2 Middle School is a Taiwan Province-dominated school, and No.1 Middle School, No.3 Middle School and No.4 Middle School are Japanese-dominated schools, so they should change from No.2 Middle School to No.1 Middle School, and they are dissatisfied with this move by the education department. President Zhang Yaotang 1 has been working hard since he took office in mid-October. 1946. /kloc-On October 28th, the education department renamed Taibei No.1 Middle School as "Taiwan Province Provincial Jianguo Middle School" and No.2 Middle School as "Taiwan Province Provincial Chenggong Middle School", which means "successful founding of the country". Since then, the name of Jianguo Middle School has been set and has been used ever since.

Because most of the "No.1 Middle School" in Taiwan Province Province during the Japanese occupation were Japanese students (except Taichung No.1 Middle School), there were more Taiwan Province students in No.2 Middle School. So in the early days of the recovery, there were many similar disputes in No.1 Middle School and No.2 Middle School. Use the school name in Taichung, exchange it in Tainan and merge it in Kaohsiung. The third tallest girl in Taipei was renamed Beier No.2 Girls' Middle School and later Zhongshan Girls' Middle School. The second and fourth tallest girls in Taipei were severely suspended due to the damage to their school buildings shortly after the war. The second tallest girl is in the Legislative Yuan, and the fourth tallest girl is in the inner courtyard of Taipei Nursing College. Taipei No.1 Middle School

The school was established in 1898. At the beginning, ordinary middle school courses were added to the Fourth Affiliated School of Mandarin School, which was a middle school that only recruited Japanese students. In the early days of its establishment, the school was renamed many times, and 1907 was independently set up as Taiwan Province Governor's Office Middle School. The school is divided into two parts. The first part imitates the planning of Eton College in England, hoping to cultivate "big citizens" with world outlook; The second part imitates the Japanese academic system and moved to the new school building in Longkou Town on 1909, that is, the current site of Nanhai Road. 19 14 was changed to Taipei Middle School of the Governor's Office, and 1922 was reorganized into Taipei No.1 Middle School. After World War II, Taiwan Province students from Taipei No.1 Middle School and Taipei No.4 Middle School resumed classes independently in Yongle National School (now Yongle Primary School). After the students of Taipei No.3 Middle School joined, they moved to Rixin National School (today's new elementary school) on February 5, 65438, and held a joint opening ceremony at Rixin Elementary School the next day (65438+February 6), which was later considered as the school celebration. Japanese students from Taipei No.1 Middle School continued their classes in the name of Renai Middle School in Taiwan Province Province (merged into Heping Middle School in Taiwan Province Province, and now it is a high school affiliated to Taipei Normal University). Eight days later, the Taiwan Province Provincial Department of Education ordered Taiwanese students from Taipei No.1 Middle School, No.3 Middle School and No.4 Middle School to be merged into Taipei No.1 Middle School of Taiwan Province Province, and temporarily taught in the old Taipei No.4 Middle School (now the dormitory area in the northeast corner of Jianguo Middle School). 1October 28th 1946 was renamed as Taiwan Province Provincial Taipei Jianguo Middle School, and 1967 was reorganized as Taipei Jianguo Senior High School.
