Tian Maoquan, a contemporary writer, believes that Xiguan, as the seat of county governance in past dynasties, has a very developed cultural and educational cause. There are Laiwu No.1 Middle School, Laiwu Experimental Middle School, Laiwu No.1 Primary School, Laishi Affiliated Primary School, Xiguan Primary School and other well-known primary and secondary schools inside and outside the province. 1952 Laiwu middle school (now relocated) was founded in Xiguan, Laicheng, with a schooling of 3 years. Courses offered include Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry, history, geography, politics, botany, zoology, physical health, music, fine arts, foreign languages and so on. 1956, renamed as No.1 Middle School in Laiwu City, Shandong Province, with 8 junior middle school classes and 147 students. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the county people's government adopted various forms to develop normal education. 1 In the spring of 952, Xiguan established the1Accelerated Normal Class, which enrolled junior high school students and senior high school graduates before the founding of the People's Republic of China, aged between 18-35. There were 75 students in the two classes for half a year. In addition to offering basic courses in ordinary middle schools, psychology, pedagogy, teaching materials and piano methods have also been added. Students will be closed after graduation. In August of the same year, Laiwu Normal School was established, enrolling 4 classes with a schooling of 3 years. Laiwu Normal School was renamed as Shandong Laiwu Primary School Teacher Rotation Training Class in the autumn of 1955 to train in-service primary school teachers in Tai 'an area, and was renamed as its original name in 1956. Since 1977 resumed the college entrance examination system, hundreds of people have entered the gates of colleges and universities in Xiguan. 1September, 1986, Yang Zhenfeng won the top prize in science in the college entrance examination with a high score of 685, and was admitted to Tsinghua University. According to preliminary statistics, Xiguan Village has 16 cadres and 18 revolutionary martyrs, which has made great contributions to national liberation and socialist construction.
