Second, the specific requirements of Korean doctoral application language

1. liberal arts majors: Generally speaking, liberal arts majors have higher language requirements, and the minimum requirement is that they need TOPIK4 scores to apply for qualifications. Some popular majors, such as media, management, and Korean, want to win admission to prestigious schools, and it is recommended to have TOPIK advanced grades. English scores can be submitted as supplementary materials, and having English scores is very helpful to the application.

2. Science and engineering majors: Science and engineering majors generally require higher English scores, and those with English scores can apply for admission directly. Like Sungkyunkwan University, science and engineering majors must submit English scores, and interviews are also conducted in English. No Korean grades will not affect it. Other schools can also apply for admission directly in English.

3. Art major: The language requirement of art major is relatively low. Generally speaking, they are eligible to apply for level 3. Of course, the higher the score, the more helpful it is to the application.

4. Medical major: Korean medical majors can apply for admission to a master's degree. If they have English scores or effective Korean scores, they can apply for admission directly. If you have both scores, you will have an advantage when applying.

6. No language scores: Some schools have no clear requirements for language scores when applying for doctoral admission. They can contact professors in advance and apply for admission directly, but oral English needs to reach the level of normal communication, and most of them need to attend interviews later. This situation is more common in art majors, and it is also applicable to general liberal arts or science and engineering majors in a few schools.
