First, the national education series of higher education qualifications

National education series higher education qualifications are divided into four levels: junior college, undergraduate, master and doctor. In terms of academic series, it mainly includes six aspects: junior college, undergraduate course, second bachelor's degree class, postgraduate class (which has been suspended at present), master's students and doctoral students. In addition, it also includes 1970 to 1976 ordinary classes held by ordinary colleges and universities. There are three kinds of higher education diplomas, namely: graduation (completion) certificate of ordinary colleges and universities, graduation (completion) certificate of adult higher education and graduation (completion) certificate of higher education self-study examination.

Second, full-time higher education.

Full-time higher education is divided into junior college education, undergraduate education and postgraduate education. Education is divided into four levels, including junior college, undergraduate course, second bachelor's degree class, graduate class (closed), graduate student and doctoral student. Universities and independent colleges mainly implement undergraduate and above education. Junior college and higher vocational colleges implement junior college education. With the approval of the education administrative department of the State Council, scientific research institutions can undertake the task of postgraduate education. What needs to be explained here is that the full-time unified recruitment of graduate students by the Central Party School and 14 provincial party schools also belongs to the full-time higher education sequence.

Third, part-time higher education.

Part-time higher education refers to adult higher education, including the self-study examination graduation certificate issued by the self-study examination committees of all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) authorized by the the State Council Self-study Examination Committee; Graduation certificates obtained by students attending full-time ordinary classes in party schools, adult colleges and military colleges approved by the national education authorities, and graduation certificates issued by academic diploma examination schools; Graduation certificates issued by higher education in the form of distance education in ordinary colleges and universities are also recognized by the state in accordance with the Interim Provisions on the Administration of Academic Certificates in Colleges and Universities of the People's Liberation Army of China.
