(a) to carry out national defense education in colleges and universities is the requirement of implementing laws and regulations.

The National Defense Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that it is the common responsibility of the whole society to popularize and strengthen national defense education. National defense education in schools is the basis of national defense education for all and the important content of implementing quality education. Colleges and universities should offer appropriate national defense education courses, and should combine classroom teaching with military training to educate students on national defense.

(B) National defense education in colleges and universities is the need of the current international situation.

Multipolarization has become the mainstream in today's world, and the arms race has shifted from quantity to quality. Although peace and development are the themes of today's times, hegemonism and power politics still exist. The international hostile forces deliberately curbed the development of China and tried every means to promote Westernization, with the strategic focus on Taiwan Province Province, Tibet and Xinjiang.

(C) National defense education in colleges and universities is the need to strengthen national defense construction

Colleges and universities are an important position to cultivate a strong national defense reserve force. Modern high-tech war needs high-quality, high-quality soldiers and strong reserve forces, and the training of military schools is far from meeting the needs of modern war. Colleges and universities, which train senior professional and technical personnel, should bear this responsibility and obligation. The Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that college students who have received military training are an important source of reserve officers and the main target of war mobilization.
