The Education Law of the People's Republic of China was promulgated on 1995.

1March, 199518th The Third Session of the Eighth National People's Congress passed the first revision according to the Decision on Amending Some Laws of the 10th Session of the 11th NPC Standing Committee on August 27th, 2009.

The second amendment was made according to the Decision on Amending the Education Law of the People's Republic of China of the 12th NPC Standing Committee on February 27th, 20th1May.

According to the 28th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th NPC on April 29th, 2002/kloc-0, the decision on amending the Education Law of the People's Republic of China was revised for the third time.
