Community health assessment: refers to a set of methods to solve community health problems. By finding problems, integrating resources and formulating solutions, we can improve and promote the health of the community. It is a subject that studies and diagnoses the basic theories, skills and clinical thinking methods of individual families or communities' responses to existing or potential health problems or life processes.

Community health assessment is highlighted in the following four aspects:

1, focusing on health promotion and maintenance-the main goal of community nursing is to promote and maintain people's health, so preventive service is the focus of community nursing.

2. For the whole community-the nursing object is the whole community, including healthy people and sick people.

3. Community nurses have a high degree of autonomy-in the process of community nursing, community nurses often have to go deep into the family to carry out various kinds of nursing alone, so they are required to have strong independent working ability and a high degree of autonomy.
