China Knowledge Network provides CNKI source database, foreign language database, industrial database, agricultural database, medical database, economic database and education database. Among them, the comprehensive databases include China periodical full-text database, China doctoral thesis database, China excellent master thesis full-text database, China important newspapers full-text database and China important conference literary theory full-text database. Each database provides three retrieval functions: primary retrieval, advanced retrieval and professional retrieval. Advanced retrieval function is the most commonly used. There are three retrieval methods.

You can search "China HowNet" in Baidu and open the website.

First, the simplest primary search of China HowNet:

1. Find the search bar at the top of China HowNet website, as shown below.

2. Click the drop-down menu on the left side of the search bar of China HowNet, and you can select any one of the full text, subject, title, keywords, abstract, references, Chinese library classification number, literature source, author's name and unit, and enter the corresponding search content in the search box on the right.

Note: Subject retrieval is a combination of title, keywords and abstract. Title retrieval is carried out in subject retrieval. Title retrieval is accurate, while subject retrieval is extensive and vague, which is conducive to finding all the research in this field.

For example, select "Article Title" from the drop-down menu on the left, enter the title of the paper in the search field: "On the Problems and Solutions in Enterprise Performance Management", and click "Search" to find the results shown in the following table:

Similarly, other menu options: full text, subject, thesis title, thesis keywords, abstract, references, Chinese library classification number and literature source are also queried in this way.

3. The primary retrieval of China HowNet is convenient and fast, but the precision is low. In order to obtain more accurate results, a second search can be conducted on the original basis, and the second search can be repeated. The retrieval words and retrieval methods of the second retrieval can be different from those of the last retrieval. Mainly for some readers who are not familiar with retrieval knowledge. After the first search, enter the desired search term, and then select Search in Results. The following figure

Second, China HowNet's most commonly used advanced search.

Advanced Search: Two or more (up to five) search fields must be selected for logical combination to complete the search together. The search path can be selected from topics, article titles, keywords, abstracts, etc. The logical relationship between search terms (and, or, excluding, same sentence, same paragraph) can also be set according to the search needs. It is characterized by many retrieval conditions, fast retrieval speed and high precision. Mainly for users who are familiar with multi-condition combined queries or SQL statements.

1. Find the search bar above China HowNet.

2. Select "Advanced Search" at the lower right of China HowNet, as shown below.

Here is a brief introduction to the use of advanced retrieval.

For example, choose "Topic" and enter the title of the thesis: Research on Translation Competence-the Basis of Constructing Translation Teaching Mode. The author's name is Miao Ju, and the author's unit is the School of Foreign Languages of Nankai University. The publication year is 20/200712. The search results are as follows.

Third, China HowNet professional retrieval:

Professional retrieval is mainly aimed at professional retrieval personnel who have been engaged in library and information retrieval for a long time and have mastered retrieval technology. Professional retrieval is more powerful than advanced retrieval. You can directly enter the search expression in the search box. Boolean logic operations are supported between search terms. The logical operatORs used are: AND, or and NOT, which must be selected through the logical option buttons set between fields.

For example, the search title contains "ecology", the keyword contains "ecological civilization", and the authors are all articles by Zhang and Li. The search expression is as follows.
