Special post teachers are not formally compiled and contract management is implemented. The employment period of special post teachers is three years, and there is no formal establishment during the three-year service period. Legal basis: Article 13 of the Teacher Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).

The qualifications of primary and secondary school teachers shall be recognized by the education administrative department of the local people's government at or above the county level. The qualifications of teachers in secondary specialized schools and technical schools shall be recognized by the education administrative departments of local people's governments at or above the county level. The qualifications of teachers in ordinary institutions of higher learning are recognized by the education administrative departments of the State Council or provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government or the schools entrusted by them.

Who are the candidates for special post teachers?

Full-time undergraduate and junior college graduates from normal universities; Full-time undergraduate graduates with the qualifications of full-time teachers in ordinary colleges and universities; Full-time undergraduate graduates who are qualified as teachers, have some practical experience in education and teaching, are under the age of 30, have terminated their labor (employment) contracts with their original employers or are unemployed.

Scope of implementation of special post teachers

Specifically, it is concentrated in contiguous areas with special difficulties, key poverty alleviation and development counties in central and western countries, key poverty alleviation and development counties at the provincial level, the original "two basics" counties in the western region (including some corps of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps), ethnic autonomous prefectures in some central provinces listed in the national western development plan, some border counties in the western region, ethnic autonomous counties and ethnic minority counties with special difficulties.

It mainly includes the following places: Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai and Xinjiang.

Special post teachers are a special policy implemented by the central government for rural compulsory education in the central and western regions. By openly recruiting college graduates to teach in rural schools in the "two basics" counties and below in the central and western regions.
