Introduction Nursing education is to carry out the policy of education and health work, cultivate nursing workers with excellent skills, good health and good medical ethics, and serve people's health wholeheartedly.

In the early days of liberation, there were only over 30,000 nurses in China. After more than 30 years of training, it has increased to 1983 times. According to the domestic situation, nursing education can be divided into four types: technical secondary school, university, specialized training and continuing education.

After the liberation of secondary school education, the Ministry of Health set up a middle school textbook compilation committee, and organized the compilation of teaching plans and syllabuses for various majors in 1956. Since then, the secondary nursing specialty in China has a unified teaching foundation. In the past 30 years, the teaching materials have been revised several times and the teaching quality has been gradually improved. Secondary nursing schools recruit junior high school or high school graduates, with a schooling of 2-3 years. The curriculum is divided into general courses, basic medical courses and professional courses. The focus of nursing education is to vigorously develop secondary school education, train nurses as soon as possible, so that there are enough qualified personnel to complete the nursing work in medical institutions with high quality, and also let nurses go to the society to serve most people.

Before liberation, Peking Union Medical College reached an agreement with five universities, including Yanjing, to recruit students from the preparatory nursing departments of five universities for two years and transfer them to the specialized nursing departments of hospitals. After studying for two and a half years, they will return to the university for half a year, and they will get professional courses, university diplomas and bachelor's degrees when they graduate. After liberation, due to the great demand for doctors, the specialized course of 1952 was suspended, and students transferred to medical undergraduate study. 196 1 ~ 1965 Beijing second medical college once held a nursing department, 1966 closed. In the future, only secondary school nurses will be educated in China. Recently, Tianjin Medical College opened a five-year nursing class in the medical department. Shanghai First Medical College and Beijing Health Cadre Training College held 2-3 years of specialized courses, and higher nursing education was re-established. Taking the five-year teaching plan (draft) as an example, the number of courses is more than that of technical secondary schools, including medical ethics, psychology, education, nutrition, diagnostics, nursing scientific research design and statistics, nursing management, emergency medicine and nursing, traditional Chinese medicine nursing, public health nursing and medical physical education, which improves the level of foreign languages and specialty nursing. After graduation, you can teach in nursing schools at all levels, hold administrative or specialist nursing positions in medical institutions, and also engage in scientific research to promote the development of nursing disciplines.

Specialized training organizes on-the-job nurses to learn new theories and new nursing techniques in a specialized subject. The educational system can be set from June to 1 year. For example, courses such as administration, pedagogy, psychology, scientific research design, intensive care, organ transplant surgery nursing, and nursing teachers are held. After learning, it can be put into practice and improve the quality of work. Since 1978, the branches of Chinese Nursing Association in all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions have assisted the health department in doing a lot of training work. Knowledgeable personnel have played an important role in management and professional nursing.
