The practice of requiring officials to provide resumes before taking office should begin in the Song Dynasty. Therefore, long-term candidates wear purple, and Beijing and North Korea wear green quickly. During the winter solstice in November of Taiping and Xingguo, a memorial ceremony was held in the suburbs, which made the official who often attended the ceremony look green for 20 years. He wrote to the official department with his resume. Starting from the real calendar, then fewer people meet the requirements. From the arrival date, it is customized. " The document General Examination, Volume 38, Raising Officials, contains eight years of peace and rejuvenating the country, and writes: "From now on, the officials selected by Xuan should be submitted to the entrance of the Chinese book for examination and investigation." It can be seen that during the Taiping and Xingguo years, officials were required to provide resumes when they took office. And "History of Song Dynasty" Volume 377 "Biography of Fayuan" said: "Fayuanshi, the word stands? For the official ministers, the official resume is always a book, and the merits and demerits of the temple are the most obvious, and the official can't be bullied. " It should be the direct source of resumes of future officials.

The resume of Jinshi in Ming and Qing Dynasties is actually another form of official history book, because most Jinshi have official history books, just because these people are from Jinshi, so they are called "resume of Jinshi".
