Fujian Art Vocational College is a public full-time higher art vocational college approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is a unit directly under the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The school was formerly known as "Fujian Art College" founded by 1958.

1960, upgraded to "Fujian Art College" (undergraduate); Since 196 1, it has been reorganized into "Fujian Art School, Fujian Opera School and Fujian Workers, Peasants and Soldiers Art School" according to national policies; Closed during the Cultural Revolution; 1974, Fujian Art School resumed classes; In May 2005, Fujian Art Vocational College was established.
