Primary education in China and the United States: two very different reports
During 1979, China and the United States sent delegations to exchange visits and inspected each other's primary education. The interviews in the two reports painted two completely different worlds. This paper will compare the two reports and discuss the similarities and differences between the two countries' primary education.

Confidence and ambition

On American campus, students with outstanding moral character and ability show their self-confidence and ambition, and they firmly believe that they are unique.

Mathematics, physics and chemistry are unpopular.

In contrast, American schools attach importance to music, physical education and fine arts, while mathematics, physics and chemistry are relatively unpopular. Whether in public schools or private schools, music, sports and beauty activities are always in full swing, while mathematics and physics are ignored.

In American classrooms, students seem to behave more freely. They blink, chat, cross their legs, and even some people wander around the classroom.
