Reflections on Reading How I Teach Chinese
I recently read How to Teach Chinese by Yu Lao. Teacher Yu Yongzheng is a leading figure in primary education in China. He dares to be the first, taking the reform of Chinese teaching as a breakthrough. His "five-fold teaching method" grasped the key of Chinese teaching method, skillfully integrated tradition and modernity, set a banner for quality education in primary schools, and let me see a broader world of Chinese teaching. Let me talk about my feelings about the "five-fold teaching method".

"Five-fold teaching method" means: emphasizing perception, accumulation, migration, interest and habit. Repeatedly reading the "50% teaching method", every sentence in the text is a monologue of the teacher's mind. That simple sentence seems dull, but in fact it contains the teacher's many years of teaching experience. Some phenomena and problems described in the book are so close to our actual teaching life that we feel a lot when reading.

First, pay attention to interest.

Paying attention to interest is the first part of teacher Yu Yongzheng's "five-fold teaching method", which is also the biggest feature of teacher's Chinese teaching, and it also resonates with me. Every time I read this chapter, I always feel different in my mind. The "affection" here refers to the affection for students on the one hand, and the affection for Chinese teaching and classroom on the other.

Teacher Yu suggested that we should care about every student, especially those with learning difficulties, because they need the sympathy and understanding of the teacher most. He never measures the whole class with a ruler, because measuring the whole class with a ruler can only lead to disappointment, frustration and even anger. Therefore, Mr. Yu Yongzheng respects students' individuality and differences, and never tries to cultivate the whole class into "one person".

There are dozens of students in a class, so we can't avoid favoring individual excellent students and hating the idea of individual poor students. As the saying goes, "It is natural to love your own children, and it is sacred and noble to love others' children. "Teacher Yu is not a saint, but he cares for every student, prepares different rulers for every child, and warms every student with his deep love. Think about it. In the usual teaching, why do we feel angry, angry or even irrational about the performance of some poor students? It is because we ignore the personality differences of students, and it is the result of measuring the whole class with a ruler.

The so-called "poor students" are just inferior to others in their studies. In other fields, "poor students" are not necessarily poor. Many "poor students" become very promising in adulthood and have great feelings for teachers. There is a child named Liang in our class, whose academic performance is in a mess, but this boy is particularly helpful. When he saw the teacher coming out of the office with a stack of books, he would take the initiative to meet him. Seeing that the female students in the class can't move the desks, he will take the initiative to help. Every time I see this, my heart will be moved. Therefore, as teachers, we should also establish a correct view of students and talents, so as to completely change our view of "poor students" and truly respect and care for every student, so that every student can feel happy when studying with us and get due progress and development.

As a Chinese teacher, if you don't love Chinese teaching, you can't teach Chinese well. More importantly, be affectionate in class. Only by attaching importance to teaching materials and students can the word "emotion" be embodied. Classroom teaching is a dialogue among teachers, students and textbooks. Before class, Mr. Wang always finds the emotional tone of the article and practices reading aloud again and again until he reads the text beautifully and never gives up. When we go out to attend classes or watch videos, every time the teacher reads a model, it is always vivid and vivid, which makes people feel immersive. If we hear this kind of sound, the students and teachers will be intoxicated and get carried away. Teacher Yu believes that the art of teaching is first of all the art of being kind to students, especially the love between teachers and students. Therefore, in his class, we can always see clearly that Mr. Wang defines his duties as organizing teaching, guiding, ordering, encouraging and encouraging, because he clearly knows that greatness is not the sea, but a stream in the children's world.

Second, feel again.

The "attaching importance to feelings" mentioned in the book is to give students the right to learn, to read, to experience, to understand its meaning, to understand its feelings and to understand its methods under the guidance of teachers. In this part of the story, Mr. Yu focused on how he embodied the word "reading" in his teaching. Prepare reading before the teacher prepares lessons. When he gets a text, he always reads it repeatedly, correctly and fluently, reading his feelings, sense of language and the beauty of the layout of the article until he reads "Everything comes from the mouth" and "Everything comes from the heart".

Third, focus on accumulation.

Before watching the "five-fold teaching method", I thought that students accumulated nothing more than language accumulation in and out of class, and the "heavy accumulation" mentioned by teachers not only refers to the accumulation of language, but also the accumulation of life and feelings. The accumulation of language mainly depends on reading and memory, and the accumulation of life and feelings needs to guide students to get in close contact with nature and society and do a good job in practical activities.

In addition, Mr. Yu Yongzheng also pays attention to the accumulation of life and feelings. He thinks that students' life is monotonous, they don't feel much and their emotions are not rich. Coupled with their lack of study, it will definitely affect their understanding ability and the formation of their good mood. He often takes students to nature, museums, military camps and factories, and often carries out some useful activities to let children in the city know about the countryside and let children in the countryside know about the city. ...

Fourth, a large number of immigrants.

Teacher Yu believes that the transfer in Chinese teaching mainly refers to the transfer of reading and writing. The transfer of reading in the classroom benefits from extracurricular reading methods and the ability to form feelings, reading extracurricular books and reading newspapers and magazines. Teacher Yu pays special attention to extracurricular reading. He tried his best to call, demonstrate, check and encourage students, guide them to read extracurricular books, let them leave traces of the books they had read and encourage them to take reading notes. Besides, Teacher Yu attaches great importance to composition training. He imitates the text according to his study, such as writing a dialogue, describing the characters, writing a scene, writing a paragraph with the same structure as the text, summarizing the meaning of the text in a few words, and answering a question with a pen after class. Isn't this a transfer from reading to writing? So I very much agree with the teacher's statement of "re-immigration". Migration is to extrapolate, that is, to use.

Five, heavy habits

After reading this chapter, I can't help but think of this sentence: "Behavior forms habits, habits form character, and character determines fate."

Teacher Yu's habits include two aspects: one is the habit of learning, and the other is the habit of using language. In teaching, he pays special attention to the cultivation of good habits. He believes that stimulating students' interest and forming good habits are the greatest success of teaching. Students' study habits mainly refer to the habit of reading newspapers, thinking while reading, not reading, taking notes and looking up dictionaries. The habit of using language can only be cultivated gradually through repeated practice and practice. Teacher Yu also pays special attention to "setting an example". He often takes the books he bought to school to read, and also deliberately leaves his reading notes on the platform for students to read. This impressed me deeply. We should let students form good habits from childhood, so that they can benefit for life.

After reading the book, I admire the teacher's innovative consciousness, look at the teaching attitude with a developing eye, have a deep understanding of Chinese teaching, and analyze various phenomena in Chinese teaching in a simple way. Close the book and think deeply. Why are teachers in Yu Can so far-sighted about Chinese teaching? In the final analysis, I think it stems from my love for Chinese teaching, students and education! So I think, as a teacher, we should have great love, love our teaching, love our students, and radiate our love to everyone around us, so that we can certainly become an excellent people's teacher!
