Baoding University for the Aged was established in June 1984. It is the first university for the aged in Hebei Province and one of the earlier universities in China. With the great attention and strong support of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, and under the direct leadership of the Bureau of Retired Veteran Cadres of the Municipal Party Committee, the school has grown through exploration and practice, developed through hard struggle and grown with the times.
