What's the difference between art and art education?
The former fine arts education major in normal universities is now called fine arts. The major is fine arts education, that is, to be a teacher, with a teacher qualification certificate, and the major is painting skills, which can directly teach students to draw.

There is also a theory of art history, which is also called art in some colleges and universities. It learns art theory knowledge, and basically does not learn painting skills.

There is some confusion because of the name change, but there are still great differences, that is, the majors of study are different, the majors of art education are painting techniques, while the majors of art history are learning theoretical comments and so on. There is no difference between the two groups, but the institutions are different.
