Fu Bao can't enter the Beijing Giant Panda Pavilion, because Fu Bao is a giant panda in Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base, which is the largest breeding, breeding and protection center of giant pandas in the world, with high international reputation and professional standards. Fu Bao is the second giant panda born overseas, the first panda cub born in North Korea, and the representative star of Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base.

Fu Bao, born on July 20th, 2020 in Samsung Everland, South Korea, is the daughter of Lebao, a male panda, and Everland, a female panda living in South Korea. In June 2023, Everland Zoo announced that Fu Bao, the giant panda, would return to China. According to the "Cooperation Agreement on Promoting Giant Panda Protection Research" signed by China and South Korea, Fu Bao must return to China before he turns 4 on July 20, 2024.
