In the history of China's education, there are two people called "famous teachers through the ages", one is Confucius in ancient times, and the other is Tao Xingzhi in modern times. Confucius advocated "teaching without class" in private schools, which was the first example of civilian education. Tao Xingzhi, on the other hand, founded various new schools according to the theory of "life education" and worked hard to practice civilian education, so he was honored as "a saint today".
Tao Xingzhi put forward three propositions: "life is education", "society is school" and "integration of teaching and learning". His solemn mission to China's education, his passionate feelings for the broad masses of the people, and his personality strength demonstrated through educational practice still shine and stir people's hearts today.
