Professor Lu Jie has devoted himself to the research of basic education theory, educational sociology and moral education for a long time. Standing at the height of the times and based on the development of China, she put forward many educational theories with unique China characteristics, forming a unique academic viewpoint and system.

He is also the director of China Higher Education Society, the director of the Moral Education Professional Committee of China Education Research Association, the executive director of Jiangsu Education Society, the vice president of Jiangsu Higher Education Society, the part-time researcher of the Education Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education, and the leader of the moral education discipline group of the National Education Science Planning Leading Group.

During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" period, he presided over the national social science fund research project "Research on the Basic Theory of Moral Education in the New Period".

During the Eighth Five-Year Plan period, he presided over the key research topic "Sociology of Moral Education" and the project "Socialization of Moral Education" of the Social Science Department of the State Education Commission.

During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, he presided over the national social science fund research project "Research on the characteristics and laws of moral education in the process of socialist modernization" and the key project of philosophy and social sciences in Jiangsu Province "A new theoretical system of pedagogy with the goal of perfecting personality".

Pedagogy (People's Education Publishing House, 1985 edition, the first six chapters were written by me) has been widely used by the education departments of normal universities all over the country, and won the first prize of Wu Fund and the first prize of the first national excellent textbook of ordinary universities by the State Education Commission.

Sociology of Education (People's Education Publishing House, 1990 edition) edited by the editor-in-chief is the first college textbook of this subject commissioned by the State Education Commission after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and won the first prize of the third national excellent textbook for ordinary colleges and universities, and 1994 won the first prize of outstanding achievements in philosophy and social sciences in Jiangsu Province.

The New Theory of Moral Education won the first prize of outstanding achievements in humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education 1998, and the third prize of outstanding achievements in national philosophy and social sciences planning 1999.

Many papers have won national or provincial outstanding scientific research achievement awards.

1988 was rated as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in China and a model worker in Jiangsu Province;

1992 was rated as an excellent postgraduate tutor in Jiangsu province;

1993 was awarded as an outstanding academic leader in Jiangsu province;

1993 won the first prize of Ceng Xianzi National Teachers College Award;

1995 the State Council awarded the title of national advanced worker;

In 2007, he was named the first outstanding social scientist in China;

In 2009, he was named the most influential figure in Jiangsu education in the 60 years of New China.
